Sunday = Family Time

By Fredrica Syren

Sunday is my favorite day of the week because it’s all about our little family and tons of cuddle time.  On Sunday we take our time waking up and spend all morning in our pajamas.  It’s when we eat breakfast at our own pace, and some of us (read: James and I) drink our coffee/tea on the floor while playing with the kids.  Sometimes we even realize that we have forgotten to eat breakfast altogether!

We usually spend the day strolling through the farmers market, then have play time at a park or take a nice walk along the bay.   During the rest of the week, we spend so much time running around and being stressed that it’s nice to relax and talk, not knowing what will happen next.

I’m very hesitant to invite anyone for a visit to disrupt our family time and I know some find it strange, but my reasoning is that our kids are small for such a short time and, before we know it, they will be living their own lives.  So until then, I’m soaking up every bit of quality time I can.
