Rockin' Green Laundry Detergent

By Andrea Patin:
I have to say, I am impressed. I have done many loads of nasty cloth diapers and our typical dirty duds and they all come out clean and fresh. And not just looking clean, but feeling and smelling clean- no residue and no weird scent. I had heard of this brand in chat rooms discussing the best way to wash cloth diapers, so I had to give them a shot.rockin-green-diaper-detergent-250
We have a front loading, HE washer and the powder did great. No clumps or mess left over in the bin. And a little goes a long way. Not only a product that works, it is nontoxic, biodegradable, safe for sensitive skin and no animals were harmed in the making. They offer many different types of detergents that aim to get your specific funk- soft water, hard water, ammonia from diapers, athletic wear, even menstrual pad soap. And the package is a heavy duty recyclable bag. (Enough with the giant plastic jugs already!)
So, if you are into cloth diapers, this is the detergent for you. If you are simply wanting to get your clothes fresh, Rockin’ Green will take care of you too. It may be a slightly more expensive than the typical laundry soaps, but I found the perks out weigh a couple bucks.

we use a clothes line, but it’s hard to choose soap because we divert the grey water to our backyard food forest… different salt compounds is usually the issue. wonder if this product would be soil friendly!

I checked with the company and they say that rocking laundry detergents are made with a biodegradable plant-based and petroleum-free surfactant and that they are septic and grey-water safe.

I have used some biodegradable detergents, but unfortunately I’m not able to line dry my clothes.

Yes sometimes I use the clothes line in the summer. I usually make my own soap using Fels Naphta, washing soda and Borax. I have no idea if its biodegradable. I hope so . I recycle everything but never thought much about the laundry soap. Thanks for this chance.

I LOVE Rockin’ Green Soap! Have you gotten a chance to try the Sport Rock formula? It’s amazing for workout clothes because it gets stains and smells out and just leaves everything clean and fresh. I love it!
