Is Organic Milk Really Better?

By Amanda Wilkes:

If you are on this website and reading this article, you probably are already aware of the benefits of buying organic products. But maybe you are an individual who isn’t convinced or is unaware of the real reasons to buy organic milk. I will begin by saying that, of all the organic products you can buy, milk is one of the most important. Listed below are a few reasons why.organic milk

  • Switching to organic dairy can improve your Omega-6 to Omega-3 Ratio. These ratios are extremely unbalanced in the majority of the human population, which may be a great cause for the vast amount of cardiovascular disease, cancer, depression and Alzheimer’s that plague the human race.
  • Organic milk comes from cows raised on grass rather than conventional corn based meal. Grass is the natural food of cows, so when they eat grass, they produce healthful milk that is concentrated with nutrients, minerals and vitamins.
  • When buying organic milk, you are supporting the lifestyle that every cow deserves and desires. If we, as consumers, raise the standard for ourselves and the cows that produce many Americans’ drink of choice, milk producers will be forced to eliminate conventional feed and implement the natural grass that cows were always meant to eat.
