I think most people know how to make mashed potatoes, it’s pretty simple. What I do think is interesting is that most people do “their” mashed potatoes different. I like to make mine with absolutely no lumps and with herbs. So here is my favorite mashed potato recipe.
6 russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup butter ( I use Earth balance butter)
1/2 cup milk ( I use almond milk)
Herb salt to taste
2 tbs dried dill
Place potatoes covered with water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook for 10-20 minutes, until soft. The cooking time depends on the size of our potato cubes. Drain and add butter and use a masher to mash butter and potatoes are combined. Add milk, herb salt and dill and mash,mix until smooth and fluffy.
