Happy Valentine’s Day!

By Fredrica Syren

This is a day of buying, wrapping and driving … all actions that will cause damage to the environment.  We’re as guilty as the next person, but this year we’re making a few changes, not having gone “all out” on gifts, etc.

Bella made all of her Valentine’s cards and gifts.  We made a card with her handprint and Noah’s footprint, and I know that will be the best gift for Daddy (James) ever.  Plus, Bella and I had a ton of fun making it.  I did not give James a gift this year; but about a month ago he needed something, so I said that could be his gift.

For us, this is a day of cuddles and telling each other why we love them

So here is my list:

James:  I love you because you are truly my best friend and the best dad I ever could have chosen for my children.

Bella:  because when you say you love someone, you really mean it, and he/she feels like a million $$$$ to be the one you love.

Noah:  because you’re my prince about whom I dreamed for so long.

Jess:  because you are the sister I never had and I know you always have my back.

Andrea:  because you are such an amazing person who makes me want to be a better person.

Amanda:  for loving my kids as much as I do.

Jackie:  I love you because you keep me so healthy, and have been there with me through some of my most difficult moments and my happiest moments.

To all the wonderful staff of Green-mom.com:  for doing such amazing work and having as much passion as I do for this topic.
