These are the green beans we had with our Easter dinner. The inspiration comes from a side dish Bella loves at Sammy’s restaurant. We ate them with a quinoa and walnut loaf, chive mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy. It was heavenly and would have been a very nice dinner if it was not for the two over tired kids at the table. Note to my self: next year eat Easter dinner earlier:)
3 cups green beans, steamed
2 tbs canola oil
2 large garlic cloves, sliced very thin
1 cup white mushrooms, sliced
Salt & black pepper to taste
Heat oil in a skillet and saute garlic for 30 seconds before adding mushroom in an even layer. Saute mushrooms until slightly browned. Add steamed green beans, salt and pepper and reheat everything before serving.
