Gnocchi in a mushroom sauce
Ahhhh I love the weekends because it’s special time with my family. Yesterdays dinner was gnocchi with an incredible creamy and rich mushroom sauce. I have to admit that this time I took a short cut and used store bought gluten free gnocchi but they were still good.
1 package potato gnocchi
1 tbs canola oil
1 1/2 cup mixed mushrooms, stems removed and sliced ( I used oyster and white mushroom)
1 cup cream cheese
1 cup almond milk
2 tbsp Bragg’s liquid amino’s sauce
1/2 tbs dried thyme
white pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Heat oil on medium heat in a skillet and saute mushrooms in a single layer until browned. Add cream, soy sauce and thyme and simmer for 5 minutes on low heat. Add salt and pepper. Place sauce over gnocchi and serve.
