Fig Milk Shake

By Fredrica Syren

We finally got my food blog moved onto this site, so from now on you will also see some food recipes. I have one tiny fig tree in my front garden that we planted when my daughter Bella was born. The tree produces a lot of figs despite its size, so now we’re drowning in fresh figs which is a great problem to have. For a snack, I made a fig milk shake. It was so delicious and fun to trick the kids into eat something healthy.  Figs are naturally rich in many beneficial photo-nutrients, anti-oxidants and vitamins.

1 glass

1 ½ cup ice-cold almond milk

1 tsp. honey

2 tsp. cocoa powder

2 large and ripe figs

Blend everything in a blender until smooth and creamy.
