Ethical Awareness this Holiday Season

By Amanda Wilkes:

I think it is safe to say that most of us have at least one person we will be buying a gift for this holiday ethical giftsseason. Every Christmas, I think about the massive consumerism happening every second in the weeks leading up to Christmas. This year I began to wonder how many of those consumers are being ethically conscious while making their gift-giving decisions. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that being ethically conscious is probably one of the last things on holiday shoppers’ minds. With the stress of finding the perfect gift, going to a store and fighting the lines to purchase it, wrapping it, and finally finding time to deliver it to that special someone — I imagine that many people would rather skip the ethically conscious certification. So I decided to put together a list of some of my favorite ethically aware online boutiques that are the perfect places to shop this holiday season. Enjoy!
