Bella has been nagging for months now to go camping. However, we have been worried about her reaction to being outside, suddenly in the dark in the middle of the night. Naturally, we were not about to go camping just to get woken up by Bella who has changed her mind about camping and wants to go home. So we did the next best thing: we started small and had a camping tryout in our backyard. On Saturday night, Bella and James slept in our tent in the garden. It was safe, cozy, cheap and . . . the best part . . . just a few steps from the bedroom door, just in case camping was not what it’s cracked up to be. How did it go you wonder? Beautifully. She slept like… well baby and now daddy is going to take her out for the real thing.
